| Hey there wonderful people! I have come to bring you good reports regarding Fire it up.
We had an attendance of approximately 600 people ranging from primaryschoolers, secondary, colleges, universities, working adults & evenaunties-uncles... Some of the many schools participated are La Salle, Kwang Hua, DatoHamzah, STAR, ACS, Andalas, Sri Lethia, High School & etc... Some of the many churches and youth ministries involved are Youth Energy (Grace Assembly Klang), Harvest, CCKL & etc...
It all began from 530pm where all the ushers and counsellors cametogether for a briefing that went on till 630pm. From then on, usherswent out to Jaya Jusco to distribute flyers personally & invite strangers to Fire it up. To our surprise, some actually came & checked it out asking what its all about...talk about marketing strategy eh!
Hallways was packed, foyers & walkways filled up with consistentand on-going flow of people. Ushers did an awesome job not only leadingpeople in but interacting & connecting with the people. I believe new friends were made yesterday for many of them.
745pm - Concert started off with our all time favourite (haha) Majesty by the Planetshakers Malaysia band. If I would blindfold you and justlet you hear them play, you might think that they're the real thing ledby Henry of Planetshakers. The worship leader Aaron has a voice similar to Henry, high pitch authentic voice. Praise & worship went on forat least 40 minutes...people jumping, dancing, singing, heads & hands lifted up to the sky. If you were there, you can definitely sense God's awesome presence moving among the midst of the youths.
9pm - The moment we've all been waiting for...The funny yet powerfulpreacher, Pastor Mark Varughese, ready to come on. An introduction bythe nights emcee, Rudy Chew, "Introducing the man that left it all in Australia, he is Mark Varughese!"..(and the crowd goes wild). Ps Mark grabbed the mic & started going "If you're down with my Jesus, throw your hands in the air" & all of us gave him a J, followed byan E, a S, together with an U & another S...JESUS!
His message captivated the attention of everyone throughout the whole session. A very relevant topic he shared that is, the power of friends, the importance of a team & a partner! Threw a challenge to all the youths & opened up the altar for acceptance of Jesus Christ & rededication of their lives...Around 25 came up! (Praise the Lord) Aaron and the band continued to lead the rest of the youths in worship followed by 2 praise songs... No way all these words can sum up that night, if you've missed it..you really did! God is starting to move in Klang Valley! You gotta be part of this movement, do not be left out!
